Your day

The right materials, at the right time, at a known cost.

Light manufacturing and assembly run on promises: a delivery date to the customer and a price agreed before the work starts. Three things decide whether you keep them.

  • The line waits for one missing part

See what each order needs, what the warehouse holds and what to buy, before the line stops.

  • A bad batch found too late

Inspect incoming materials and finished goods, and follow every non-conformance and corrective action through to closure.

  • Prices set on guesswork

Materials and operations add up for each work order, so you price the next job on facts.

With DynamoOS

One work order, from the order book to the books.

Stock moves as the work happens, and every step leaves a trail you can follow.

  1. Sales

    An order comes in

A customer orders 500 assembled units, or you plan a batch for stock.

  2. Manufacturing

    Production is planned

A production plan works out the work orders and the materials they need from your bills of materials.

  3. Purchasing

    Materials are ordered

Missing materials become purchase requests and orders. Steps you subcontract go out with their materials.

  4. Quality

    Incoming goods are checked

Materials are inspected against the limits you set before they are accepted into stock.

  5. Manufacturing

    The work is done

Materials are issued to the work order, and each operation is recorded on a job card with its time and operator.

  6. Inventory

    Finished goods are received

Finished units go into stock after inspection, and the customer's order is delivered and invoiced.

  7. Finance

    The cost reaches the books

The material and labour cost of the work order is posted to your accounts.

What you see

The reports that keep the line moving.

Ready-made production and stock reports, built from the work orders your team records.

  • Material requirements planning

What every open order needs, against what you hold and what is already on order.

  • Work order summary

Open, late and finished work orders, and what they produced.

  • BOM stock analysis

How many units you can build from the stock you have today.

  • Quality inspection summary

Inspections passed and rejected, by item and supplier.

  • Downtime analysis

Where machines stood still, and for how long.

Questions we often hear

Something we have not answered?

Talk to us
  • Can we send part of the work to a subcontractor?

Yes. Send materials out with a subcontracting order and receive the finished item back into stock, with its cost added to the product.

  • Our products have sub-assemblies. Does that work?

Yes. A bill of materials can contain sub-assemblies with bills of materials of their own, and the production plan works through every level.

  • Can we trace a batch from raw material to finished product?

Yes. Batches and serial numbers are recorded at receipt, at issue and in production, so you can trace them in both directions.

  • Which plan fits?

Manufacturing, Quality and Maintenance come with Dynamo Complete, together with every other app. Every plan includes 3 full users, and every other employee uses self-service for free.
