Upload, organize, share
- Drag files or folders into the browser window, or use Create → Upload.
- Share a file or folder with people (read, comment, upload or edit).
- Files attached to a project or task appear in that project's folder automatically.
Public links
Whether files can be shared with anyone with the link is decided by your administrator. When public links are allowed, each one expires automatically after a set number of days (7 unless your organization chose otherwise). Shares with people can also be given an end date.
Downloads are short-lived links
Downloading a file gives your browser a link that works for about two minutes, created only after Dynamo checks you may open the file. Copying that link to someone else does not give them lasting access.
Trash
Deleted files go to Trash, where you can restore them. Files stay in the trash for 30 days (unless your organization chose another period) and are then deleted permanently.
Storage and limits
- Your organization has a storage allowance (for example 100 GB); administrators see what is used and left in Apps & subscription, and can request more.
- When the storage is full, new uploads are refused until files are deleted or storage is added.
- Programs and scripts (for example
.exe,.bat,.ps1) cannot be uploaded, whatever their name, and files above the upload size limit are refused.
Where your files are stored
Files are kept in private object storage in the location chosen for your organization (for example Dynamo Global Storage or Dynamo Saudi Storage). Choosing a location is not by itself a legal or compliance statement; ask Dynamo about specific requirements.
