Projects and tasks
- A Project groups tasks, time, costs and files for one piece of work.
- Tasks have an owner, dates, a status and can depend on other tasks; view them as a list, a Kanban board or a Gantt chart.
- Timesheets record time against tasks and can be billed to the customer.
Project progress can be computed from completed tasks, task weight or manual entry (set on the project).
Project files
Files attached to a project or one of its tasks are stored once, in the project's folder in Dynamo Files → Projects → <project>:
- attach a file on the project and it appears in the Drive folder;
- upload a file into that folder in Dynamo Files and it appears on the project.
Opening the file from either place opens the same file. Access follows each side: from the project, the project's permissions; from Dynamo Files, the Projects team (people with a project role).
Who sees what
Project users see the projects their roles and user permissions allow. A project manager role is needed to change project settings; people without a project role do not see project files.
